Skywild is coming to K&E

Summer Matters

Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships

Every kid deserves a summer camp experience. It’s why we partner with Mickey’s Kids and why Scott works so hard in Washington.

That’s something I’ve believed for a long time, and somehow the belief just keeps growing and growing every year.

Which makes me pumped for this announcement.

This summer, Skywild is running at K&E after our summer.

Skywild runs week-long overnight camps for autistic kids ages 7-15. They’ve been doing this in Michigan and Pennsylvania since 2010. This August, they’re bringing their program here for one week.

I’ve been working with some version of Skywild since 2014. Breezy, who runs Skywild, is my girlfriend. She’s the absolute best. And the work they do matters.

Skywild campers do everything you know from K&E. They climb the ropes course, shoot archery, go canoeing, tie-dye t-shirts, go fishing, roast s’mores, sing, dance, and swim. All of it.

The difference is how the program is structured. Daily schedules are highly predictable to ease camper anxiety.

Activities are flexible and choice-based. Staff ratios are kept intentionally low, about 2:1 camper-to-counselor. Plus, the Skywild leadership team rocks with behavior analysts, teachers, nurses, doctors, and youth development professionals.

The Details:

Dates: August 17-22, 2026

Cost: $2,500 (scholarships available)

Ages: 7-15

If you know kids with autism who are looking for the true-blue summer camp experience, we’d love to have them.

Breezy can answer any and all questions about the program and will definitely help families figure out if Skywild is a good fit.

PS - Let’s talk camp.

My favorite thing in the world, besides running camp, is talking to families about what camp will look like for your kids.

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships Going to give you a list of words. Read it quick. Be honest about how many you actually know the meaning of: Bet Sus Mid NPC Slay Rizz Delulu No cap It’s giving… Touch grass How’d you do? Maybe 6 or 7? (That last one thrown in there for good measure). Your kids definitely know these, ask them. You might have heard them yourself out in the wild. I learned this week, it’s millennial coded to use punctuation in text. Who knew?...

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships This email is all about the great Scott Brody. But first, I want to tell you about my last week, which you will see in a moment, is very much related to Scott Brody. I wake up every day and worry about K&E. I’m the luckiest guy in the world because I get to think about the best place on the planet all day everyday. Just this last week, I got to spend time working with Scott’s two day camps, Everwood and Sewataro, on how to do...

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships Ask me for a list of camp activities and off the top of my head I’d throw out stuff like soccer, or arts & crafts, or high ropes, or waterskiing, or (soon) the new pickleball court we’re putting in, or sitting on front porches, or playing ping pong. Probably you or your kids would have a similar list. That’s just basically describing camp. But at Winter Weekend a couple of weeks ago, there was a reminder of another kind of...
